About White Weft

White Weft is a denim design studio specialising in repair, upcycling, and circular denim design.

It’s led by Janelle Hanna, a lifelong denim lover, former Head Designer at Wrangler, and author of Jean Genius. Today Janelle works across the full denim lifecycle: consulting with brands on circular design, repairing and upcycling in the studio, and sharing the skills needed to keep denim in use for decades.

At White Weft, we believe jeans should be made to last, loved, repaired, and eventually recycled, not sent to landfill or incineration.

That means:

• Expert denim repair to extend the life of your favourite pieces

• Upcycled clothing & accessories made from offcuts and scraps, maximising material use

Our studio in Brixton, London is open by appointment for repairs, and we also host hands-on workshops to teach mending and upcycling skills to the community.
